We installed AC-type electric vehicle charging stations for individual users at more than 30 locations across Istanbul. Where required, additional connection requests and utility power-capacity increases were also managed by Soctek.
Project Scope and Requirements
Providing electric vehicle owners with home or workplace charging usually requires assessing whether the existing electrical subscription can support the additional load of a charging unit. Across these 30-plus locations in Istanbul, the goal was to deliver a safe, fully compliant AC charging solution suited to each location's own electrical infrastructure.
Technical Solution Implemented
At each location, the existing subscription capacity was assessed first, and where needed, Soctek managed the utility's power-capacity increase and additional connection request processes. The AC charging stations were installed with protective equipment matched to the residential or workplace electrical panel.
Results and Benefits
Through this project, more than 30 individual users across Istanbul now have safe, reliable electric vehicle charging at their own property. AC charging's suitability for home and workplace use, at a lower cost, has been an important factor in enabling individual e-mobility adoption.
