Fabro Makine Factory Complex

Istanbul

At the Fabro Makine factory complex, every electrical system was designed and installed from the ground up -- from the LV main distribution and power factor correction panels through to the indoor and outdoor high-current (power, switchgear) installation, and the low-current (data, automation) and network infrastructure. The facility's lighting and automation systems were also custom-developed and brought to life by Soctek's own electronics design team.

Project Scope and Requirements

Machine-manufacturing factory complexes need an electrical infrastructure that meets both the power demands of heavy industrial equipment and the automation and data-communication needs of the production line at the same time. Since the Fabro Makine project started from scratch, every system -- from the LV main distribution and power factor correction panels to the low-current/network infrastructure -- had to be planned as a single, coordinated whole.

Technical Solution Implemented

The indoor and outdoor high-current installation was supported by LV distribution and power factor correction panels sized to the production line's power density. The low-current and network infrastructure was built to support the facility's internal data communications and automation systems, while the lighting and automation solutions were custom-developed for the facility by Soctek's own electronics design team.

Results and Benefits

This ground-up, integrated infrastructure has given Fabro Makine both production reliability and a flexible system capable of adapting to future automation needs. Correctly sized power factor correction panels also contribute directly to energy efficiency.
