At the EYA-DAR weaving mill, the high-current installation, power factor correction system optimization, and all of the facility's electrical infrastructure works were completed by the Soctek engineering team.

Project Scope and Requirements

Textile and weaving facilities run large numbers of motor-driven machines simultaneously, which can increase reactive power drawn from the grid and expose the facility to utility power-factor penalties. At the EYA-DAR weaving mill, the goal was to reorganize the high-current installation to match the production line's needs while also addressing the inefficiency caused by reactive power.

Technical Solution Implemented

The facility's high-current installation was reviewed from end to end, and the existing power factor correction system was optimized to match the production line's actual load. This reduced the reactive power drawn from the grid, while the electrical panels and cabling were reinforced to support a safe infrastructure for the facility's growing production capacity.

Results and Benefits

Thanks to the optimized power factor correction system, EYA-DAR has reduced its exposure to reactive power penalties and lowered its energy costs. The renewed high-current infrastructure supports the production line's continuous, safe operation.
