Hospitals operate around the clock, so bringing a new electrical load online at a public healthcare facility requires planning the existing energy infrastructure without disrupting hospital operations. At Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital, the goal was to integrate the 1x180kW DC charging load into the hospital's electrical system only once all the required infrastructure and power permits had been fully secured.
Technical Solution Implemented
The project began with Soctek's engineering team managing the required infrastructure and power permits with the utility and relevant authorities. Once the permits were in place, the 180kW DC fast-charging station was installed to match the hospital's existing electrical infrastructure and brought online.
Results and Benefits
Managing the permit process end-to-end meant the project was completed without any disruption to hospital operations. Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital can now offer its staff and visitors a reliable electric vehicle charging option.
